On April 17, the Riga Ferris wheel “Riga Rise” opened its doors to the public. Standing 65 meters tall, this grand new attraction became a significant tourism destination on the lesser-visited left bank of the Daugava River in Riga, placing it among the world’s iconic Ferris wheels in cities such as Chicago, Montreal, Gdańsk, and London.
Visitors of the Ferris wheel can also experience a unique artistic journey—a digital gallery created in collaboration with Zuzeum Art Centre and Zuzāns Collection. This will be a rare opportunity to gain a fresh and enriching perspective on Riga through historical city maps and engravings, 20th-century posters and advertisements, and original artworks by various artists exploring the theme of Riga.
