Zuzeum Art Museum invites you to a guided tour of the exhibition Collective Memory is Everything I Don’t Remember: Moments We Share with its curator Diana Kotmel Kněžínková.

During the tour, Diana Kotmel Kněžínková will introduce the exhibition’s concept, its development process and the works of seven Latvian women artists of the millennial generation: Ieva Balode, Vika Eksta, Ieva Kraule-Kūna, Liene Pavlovska, Diāna Tamane, Krista Vindberga and Elīna Vītola.
The exhibition is part of a broader research project by the curator exploring the relationship between collective memory, identity and personal experience. The project’s first exhibition, Memories That Are Not Our Own, took place in spring 2026 at the H40 cultural space in Prague, while the exhibition currently on view in the Zuzeum Greenhouse is the project’s second part.
Drawing on their own and their families’ experiences, the artists address the realities of the 20th century, socioeconomic issues, public space and the ways in which collective memory shapes our individual perception of the past. During the tour, the curator will offer further insight into individual works, the connections between the artists’ practices and the central questions of the project.
The event offers an opportunity to experience the exhibition from the curator’s perspective and to explore how personal memories, family stories and shared historical experiences shape our understanding of the past.
