On May 29 at the art center Zuzeum, audiences will have the opportunity to witness performances by seven international artists.

The Riga Performance Art Festival “Starptelpa” is a significant event on the international art scene, annually bringing together in Riga experienced and internationally recognized artists, curators, and scholars, while also dedicating special attention to emerging and promising talents in performance art. The festival is now in its seventh year and is the most ambitious of its kind in the Baltic States. This year’s theme is “More Than Human”, focusing on the interaction between humans, nature, and the material world.

The festival is organized by the Latvian Centre for Performance Art, a non-governmental organization that promotes performance art in Latvia by organizing art, educational, and cultural events, as well as conducting academic research.
