On May 27, at Zuzeum Art Center, audiences will have the opportunity to witness performances by six promising artists.
The Riga Performance Art Festival “Starptelpa” is a significant event on the international art scene, annually gathering in Riga experienced and internationally recognized artists, curators, and scholars, while also dedicating a special place to emerging and promising talents in performance art. Now in its seventh year, the festival is the most ambitious of its kind in the Baltic States. This year’s theme, “More Than Human,” focuses on the interaction between humans, nature, and the material world.

The festival is organized by the Latvian Centre for Performance Art, a non-governmental organization that promotes performance art in Latvia by organizing art, educational, and cultural events, as well as conducting academic research.
