This masterclass is a practical session in which participants work with their inner state through breath, the body, and different materials.

The practice begins with a breathing session guided by a breathwork practitioner. Breath helps bring attention to bodily sensations – tension, density, pulsation, fragility, or any other feelings present in the moment. These sensations do not need to be changed or judged; they become the starting point for further work.

The process is led by artist and Carrara founder Lera Sanzharovets. Under her guidance, participants create an individual object in which inner experience is translated into physical form through different materials and textures.

A variety of materials are used in the process: tangled threads, torn fabric fragments, pearls, eggshells, clips, needles, wire, and other elements. Participants choose materials intuitively, based on what speaks to them in the moment. Through touch, connecting, tearing, fixing, and layering, an object gradually takes shape, reflecting the participant’s current inner state.

During the process, there may be a moment when it becomes clear that the form created corresponds to what is happening internally. At this point, the experience becomes visible and tangible.

As a result, each participant creates their own Artifact of State – an object that holds the experience of a specific moment and can be returned to after the session. The practice helps participants better sense themselves, pay attention to their inner state, and translate it into material form.
