Zuzeum Art Preview. Exhibition – art restaurant

The Zuzeum Art Centre has launched an art exhibition on a food delivery app – a first of its kind in the world.

Structured as a restaurant menu it features works of art that the public will be able to see in real life after the pandemic restrictions are lifted.

Museums and artists must be the innovators, not passive observers. “In these hard times, all we seek is hope. A live feed of art in an unexpected yet intuitive spot is what the city of Riga needs right now,” says Agnese Kleina, managing director and concept designer of Zuzeum Art Centre.

Future visitors can add favorite artists and artwork to their basket on Wolt food delivery app. To finalize the order, the “cutlery” is required — an open date ticket to Zuzeum that will be valid when the museum will be open again. Wolt’s courier partners then deliver tickets and personalized guides for future visits. The guides contain personalized visitor selection and additional recommendations. The in-app exhibition updates regularly.

Artworks from the Zuzāns Collection for the first Wolt exhibition were selected by Ieva Zībārte, Head of Exhibitions at the Zuzeum: “After a year of closures museums and galleries are still looking for ways to reach people. Art is a multidimensional experience. Collections and museums must be in places where people come together. In the past, art often broke into the urban environment. Now we tend to live in our own digital cities, and there is a place for art in this new realm.”

The creative idea of the project was developed by Little Good Agency in Riga.
