Summer Night Chamber Music at Zuzeum Art Centre

Following the last year’s summer concerts tradition, State Chamber Orchestra Sinfonietta Rīga, in a new collaboration with Zuzeum Art Centre, invites to a series of chamber music concerts in the very heart of Riga.

Among the artists of Sinfonietta Rīga there are plenty of brilliant talent to get to know as chamber music soloists. Programmes such as this provide the orchestra musicians with an opportunity to polish their skills and fine-tune their ensemble work, in the long run contributing to the quality and force of orchestra’s performance. And, for the audience, chamber music programmes present a chance to experience a close communion with the musicians.

The concerts of the Summer Night Chamber Music series will take place on 26, 27, 28 and 29 August in the cozy premises of Zuzeum Art Centre. Each hour-long concert programme includes music from various eras and styles, looking for points of intersection and exploring the communicative potential of music born from different historical paradigms.

The series of chamber music concerts is part of the one-year anniversary programme of Zuzeum. Art historian, visual art  medium specialist and exhibition curator Inga Šteimane, who is also a professionally trained pianist, will help to establish the connections between the main art and music events of the anniversary programme.
