Zuzeum together with the auction house Artembassy opens an exhibition and auction of Latvian art.

From November 28, for only 12 days, the works of outstanding Latvian artists, who cannot be seen in public on a daily basis, will be available for viewing and purchase. This is a unique opportunity to own a work of art that was previously in the collection of the world’s largest collection of Latvian art – the Zuzāns collection – and in the representation of the leading art embassy in the Baltics – Artembassy. The special exhibition, arranged in the Zuzeum Great Exhibition Hall, will allow you to appreciate the essential art heritage of Latvia and get acquainted with works of art that have not been seen before on the art market.

Latvian painting values such as works by Jūlijs Feders, Vilhelms Purvītis, Janis Rozentāls, Aleksandra Beļcova, Sigismunds Vidbergs, Johans Valters, Voldemārs Irbe, Jānis Ferdinands Tīdemanis, Ludolfs Liberts, Uga Skulme, Hilda Vīka, Valdis Kalnroze, Eduards Kalniņš, Fridrihs Milts, Leo Kokle, Leo Svemps, Jānis Pauļuks, Rūdolfs Pinnis, Herberts Siliņš, Bruno Celmiņš and other Latvian artists will be exhibited in the hall. The applied art section includes a porcelain vase painted by Sigismunds Vidbergs, as well as other excellent antique values – silver, bronze, porcelain objects and sculpture. In total, 252 valuable and rare works of art will be offered at the auction.

The artworks can be viewed in person from November 28. Works are available for bidding online on the Artembassy website. The end of the auction with the opportunity to bid in person will take place on December 10 from 12.00 in the premises of Zuzeum.

Entrance to the auction exposition – EUR 5, for students and seniors – EUR 2.50, children and young people up to 18 years of age enter free of charge.
