Creative workshops for children
We invite you to Zuzeum’s children’s art workshops — for children of all ages. Each Sunday, the theme of the class changes.
Upcoming workshops
🗓 19 March, ‘Compositions of art porcelain‘
This week’s workshop theme will be inspired by the Riga art porcelain that is displayed at the exhibition. Professional Latvian artists such as Ansis Cīrulis, Jūlijs Madernieks, Romans Suta and others drew sketches for porcelain items that were produced by the Kuznetsov’s factory.
Using colored ink and tempera paper, children will create their own circular plate sketches and put them together in unique compositions.
— at 12.00, a lesson for children aged 7-11
— at 14.00, a lesson for children aged 3-6
🗓 26 March, ‘That’s how I see you’
What exactly are sculptures? Sculptures can be made by carving, modeling or placing materials together. They can be made out of stone, wood, clay or any other material the artist wants to use! Similar to students of the Academy of Art, in this workshop kids will build their own sculptures while looking at a real life model. Using colored ink and tempera paper, children will create their own circular plate sketches and put them together in unique compositions.
— at 12.00, a lesson for children aged 7-11
