Concert series 'At Home with the World' — Estonia
We invite you to the third concert of cycle “At Home With The World” on Saturday 5 November, 19.00 at Zuzeum Living room.
Zuzeum Art Centre invites to Shipsea and friends’ acoustic music evening series ‘At Home with the World’. The music evenings will take place at Zuzeum first floor which serves as a place for togetherness, unity and guest reception.
In a special concert of songs and stories of the “At Home With The World” cycle, comes the third concert – a devotion to Estonia and its culture. On November 5th, the living room of Zuzeum will feature two very vibrant Estonian stage personalities – singer, violinist and composer Maarya Nuut, as well as the band’s ‘Ewert and the Two Dragons’ soloist – Ewert Sundja.
We have known their creativity in Latvia for some time now but this evening, in a very special atmosphere, we will explore their personal and human experiences of growing up in music. ‘Even though each operates in very different sound fields, Maria and Evert are fantastic storytellers. They embody an extraordinary Union of simplicity, conviction and observance. I’ve admired it in Estonians since I first heard Arvo Perth’s music,” says Jānis Šipkēvičš (Shipsea), the initiator of the concert series “At Home With The World”.
Concert participants will share their feelings about Estonia — both from a historical point of view and a personal one. Their latest works, co-productions, as well as improvisations, which were created specifically for the occasion, will be heard.
The tickets are available online at www.zuzeum.com. The ticket price is EUR 22. A limited number of seats are available. The purchased tickets cannot be returned or exchanged. Concert language: English.
Both seated and standing tickets will be available at the concert without booking. Arrive on time, take the most comfortable seat, order a drink at the café and make yourself at home!
Concert guests will have the opportunity to visit the exhibition “Growing Out? Growing Up? Contemporary Art Collecting in the Baltics”. The exhibition introduces vibrant contemporary art collections in the Baltics.
🇪🇪 Event is supported by the Embassy of Estonia in Latvia.
