1 adult and 2 children (up to 12 years old): €30

Advance registration is required here.

All materials are provided on site, but participants are welcome to bring their own teas, small leaves, grasses, brown sugar, spices, and various tapes and stickers.

This workshop introduces the art of experimental filmmaking on 16 mm black-and-white film, using a cameraless technique. We will work with chemigrams, which allow us to handle light-sensitive 16 mm film in daylight, using photo chemistry to create abstract, animated film loops. The loops are made with a variety of organic and inorganic materials that you bring along, placed on the surface of the film and developed with photo chemistry. You can bring different teas, small leaves, grasses, brown sugar, spices, and various tapes and stickers. We will dry the films on site and watch them on a 16 mm film projector.

The workshop runs throughout the day in several separate sessions. Making your film takes about 40 minutes. Places are limited, so we invite you to choose the time that suits you best:
